So many people in my friend list hated Vin, but I liked this book exactly for Vin. I think I rooted for Vin more than Kelsier. I was also surprised how I connected to almost all of the characters. That's something I don't usually do when I read books fast. I think much of it is the author's skill here. This book has great world building. I liked everything of it.
